Ariel

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 3 years

Heart dog Ariel would like to be allowed to find her "Forever Place"! Ariel comes originally from Spain and has been living in Germany for some time. We are looking for a new home for Ariel. She is a charming and people-oriented dog. She loves being close to people and enjoys their attention. Cuddling on the sofa is one of her favorite activities. However, just sitting on the couch is not enough for Ariel, because the sweet dog also needs exercise and adventures with her people. Ariel walks very well beside the bicycle on a leash. However, she also has a hunting drive and would love to express it - this requires the attentiveness of her people. In general, Ariel is stable when facing new situations. Yet there can still be encounters and experiences that scare her. In these moments, Ariel relies on the attention and clear leadership strength of her future people. Ariel reacts nervously during encounters with larger dogs, but gets along with smaller dogs, provided they do not pressure her too much. Ariel is housebroken and can be left alone for an appropriate period of time. The loving dog should now be allowed to find her "Forever Home." Therefore, we are looking for a new and loving home for Ariel. This home should allow Ariel to arrive at her own pace. Also, her future family should want to support and encourage the nice dog in all her further developmental stages. Ariel wishes for people by her side who will go together into a common future with her and continue to enjoy life actively with her. It would be nice if Ariel had a securely fenced garden for free running. Your heart says YES to Ariel, and a caring basket is waiting for the friendly dog. Then we look forward to your inquiry. Adopting a shelter dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring along a backpack of past experiences or situations they have not learned and need time to adjust to their new life. If you have a serious interest in adopting Ariel, please contact the responsible adoption officer of SALVA Dog Help. You will find the contact details below. About Ariel

What life with Ariel looks like

Ariel is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ariel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ariel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ariel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ariel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ariel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ariel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ariel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
