Eind mei hebben we ook een bezoekje gebracht aan Ariel. Wat een bijzondere kat met karakter. Houdt wel van wat gezelligheid volgens mij (in de vorm van andere katten of honden, maar ook mensen zijn erg gezellig). Hij geniet echt nog van het leven. Is nog heel speels. Zelfstandig op de bank lukt niet, maar eraf zeker wel. Prachtige kater Ariel werd aangereden door een auto. Door het ongeluk kan hij het achterste deel van zijn lichaam niet meer gebruiken. Alsof dat nog niet genoeg was, werd hij daarna achtergelaten als afval. Hij beweegt zich voort met zijn voorpootjes. Alsof zijn leven niet al genoeg uitdagingen kende, overleed plotseling zijn redder. Nu wacht hij opnieuw op iemand die hem niet in de steek laat. Hij zit momenteel in pleegopvang in Macedonië, in de buurt van onze rescuer Elena. Ariel is volledig zindelijk binnenshuis en draagt een luier. Hij verliest soms een beetje urine tijdens het verschonen, maar poept niet in zijn luier. Hij kan zijn blaas niet zelfstandig volledig legen, wat in het verleden waarschijnlijk een infectie heeft veroorzaakt. Daarom heeft hij een eigenaar nodig die begrijpt wat zijn verzorging inhoudt en bereid is daar verantwoordelijkheid voor te nemen. Met de juiste zorg is dit goed te managen. Hij is een zachtaardige, liefdevolle kater. Ariel kan geweldig overweg met andere katten en honden. Hij zoekt hun gezelschap en geniet ervan om erbij te horen. In het verleden was hij wat onzeker rond sommige mannen, maar met geduld en vriendelijke energie bouwt hij vertrouwen op. In zijn huidige omgeving gaat het bijvoorbeeld helemaal goed met de man in huis. Ariel vindt badjes geen probleem en wordt regelmatig gewassen om hem schoon en comfortabel te houden. Hij werkt daarin goed mee. Zijn karakter is zacht, dankbaar en vol liefde. Wat hij nodig heeft is geen medelijden, maar toewijding. Iemand die niet schrikt van zijn beperking, maar ziet wie hij werkelijk is: een aanhankelijke, sociale kater die ondanks alles vertrouwen in mensen blijft houden. Ariel verdient een stabiel, verantwoordelijk thuis waar hij nooit meer wordt opgegeven. Wie kiest er bewust voor deze bijzondere jongen en geeft hem de veilige haven die hij zo hard nodig heeft?
