Arko, a 2016-born German Shepherd, has been with us at the shelter for a while now because his owner could no longer provide him with the proper care. Arko was actually a farm dog and barked at everything and everyone. This naturally deterred any potential adopters. He was also very difficult to leash train and his mood could change suddenly. He was considered a hopeless case. 😢 But recently, Arko has found a wonderful walker who is very patient with him and is slowly making him more "social". He is learning to recognize environmental stimuli again and enjoys the nice walks. Arko learns quickly, loves water and is still fit for his age. He gets along with other dogs, depending on their compatibility. He has a great relationship with Molly, a female dog. We wholeheartedly hope that Arko will find a great dog friend with experience, so he doesn't have to stay at the shelter for the rest of his life. He is not an aggressive biting dog, he just had bad luck with the wrong people. Who can fulfill our wish for Arko?

Arko, der 2016 geborene Altdt. Schäferhund-Rüde ist nun schon eine ganze Weile bei uns im Tierheim, weil sein Herrchen seine artgerechte Haltung nicht mehr gewährleisten konnte. Arko kannte eigentlich gar nichts...er war ein Hofhund und verbellte alles und jeden. Das schreckte natürlich jeden potentiellen Interessenten gleich ab. An die Leine bekam man ihn auch nicht wirklich. Seine Stimmung konnte schlagartig umschlagen. Eigentlich ein hoffnungsloser Fall. 😢 Aber seit einiger Zeit hat Arko einen ganz tollen Gassigeher, der sehr geduldig mit ihm ist und durch ihn wird Arko jetzt langsam "gesellschaftsfähig". Er lernt wieder Umweltreize kennen und genießt die schönen Spaziergänge. Arko lernt schnell, liebt Wasser und ist für sein Alter noch fit. Mit Artgenossen versteht er sich, je nach Sympathie. Wie man sehen kann, mit Hündin Molly klappt es super. Wir wünschen uns für Arko von ganzem Herzen einen tollen Hundefreund mit Erfahrung, er soll nicht bis an sein Lebensende im Tierheim bleiben müssen. Er ist kein bösartiger Beißer, er hatte einfach nur Pech, an den falschen Menschen geraten zu sein. Wer kann unseren Wunsch für Arko erfüllen?
