Arktika

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten

ARCTIC WOULD LIKE A LITTLE MORE TENDER LOVING..... Born in 2024, Arktika arrived at Pesaleidja Cat Shelter on 17.03.2026 from Liiapeksi village, Kuusalu. Arktika came to us from a large cat colony along with several other cats. Unfortunately, they have mostly had to fend for themselves, and sometimes the villa owners have even offered them food. However, during the winter period, the villas are left empty and the cats are left in trouble..... Therefore, Arctics has not had much contact with people and is rather shy. We have seen here at the animal shelter how even the most timid and shy cats can open up! For this, it is necessary to work with them, talk to them, offer treats, show them that not all people are bad and that they don't need to be afraid. This takes time, but just like with humans, gaining trust is certainly not a quick process!!! Therefore, right now, Arctics would still like a little more tender loving.... He has already softened a bit, but would like even more! There is no fear in his eyes anymore, he is waiting.... If you would like to offer Arctics a home, click on the button "I want to adopt this animal", complete the Pesaleidja questionnaire and you will be contacted. If you cannot adopt this lovely cat yourself, but would like to become a godparent and pay for his upkeep costs, then read more HERE.

JAHE ARKTIKA SOOVIKS VEIDI SULADA..... 2024. aastal sündinud Arktika jõudis Pesaleidja kassituppa 17.03.2026 Liiapeksi külast, Kuusalust. Arktika on tulnud meile suurest kassikolooniast koos mitmete teiste kiisudega.

About Arktika

What life with Arktika looks like

Arktika is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Pesaleidja MTÜ in Pesaleidja.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arktika, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arktika?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pesaleidja MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arktika on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arktika if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pesaleidja MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arktika already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arktika isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pesaleidja MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arktika and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
