Arthur & Hans-Peter

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 3 months

We are Arthur and Hans-Peter, a young tomcat duo looking for a great forever home. This is us: we were both born in the animal shelter and left as the last ones in our litter. So we met on our wonderful foster place and are now best friends. Together we hope for our happy ending. I, Arthur (red tabby), am smart, adventurous and love trying new things. I know what I want and then do it - typical red tomcat.😊 My best friend Hans-Peter is a bit more cautious and first looks around at what I'm doing. But of course he's also playful in his own way. We are both great, cuddly and just adorable little cats. We wish for an exciting home with plenty of space to romp and play, climb and chat. A balcony (secured) would be great from which we can safely observe the big world. May we enrich your life?

About Arthur & Hans-Peter

What life with Arthur & Hans-Peter looks like

Arthur & Hans-Peter is a large puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg in Berlin.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arthur & Hans-Peter, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arthur & Hans-Peter?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arthur & Hans-Peter on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arthur & Hans-Peter if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arthur & Hans-Peter already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arthur & Hans-Peter isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arthur & Hans-Peter and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
