ARTÙ

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Artu' is the most affectionate cat. Date of birth: 10.11.2022. Sterilized, vaccinated, negative FIV and FELV. Artu' is a large cat with long legs and a tail, a very sweet character and the heart of a kitten looking for its mother. He is not very smart, but if you are looking for a sweet little potato, you can't miss meeting him! If you want the maximum amount of purring, consider adopting a pair with one of his brothers, Merlin or Lancelot! In that case, the amount of sweetness goes off the scale! And since sweetness also requires protection, it is essential that the house is safe. Are you interested in adopting Artu'? About ARTÙ

What life with ARTÙ looks like

ARTÙ is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at ARCA Onlus in Italy.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting ARTÙ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ARTÙ?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ARCA Onlus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ARTÙ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ARTÙ if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ARCA Onlus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is ARTÙ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ARTÙ isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ARCA Onlus early rather than rehoming privately; they know ARTÙ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
