Arya

Beagle · Female · Adult · 4 years

Arya is a 4-year-old beagle mix, estimated on 22/02/2022, microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed. Arya came directly from Mongolia, where she was brought back by a person who wanted to have her adopted in France. All the necessary procedures for importing a dog from a non-EU country have been completed, and Arya is in compliance. Life there wasn't always easy: Arya was a stray dog, facing all the dangers that come with it, and she was regularly mistreated on the streets. She hasn't held a grudge against humans, but she is a bit reserved at first. She gets quite emotional when people pay attention to her because it worries her a little, but there is no aggression. She gets along well with her other animal companions of the same species, but she has her own personality and won't be pushed around. Arya has glaucoma; she is blind in her right eye and suffers from the high pressure it causes. After consulting with a specialized veterinarian, she will soon be operated on to remove her eye. All the costs are covered by our association. She knows cats, and cohabitation seems possible. If you are interested in adopting her, you can return the adoption application form: Click here to access the online adoption application form. We will get back to you soon. Please call us IMPERATIVELY before traveling to see her, thank you!

About Arya

What life with Arya looks like

Arya is a small adult beagle dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
