Adopt Ash

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

🐾 Ash — Ready for Adoption Approx. 8 months old • Neutered Female Ash came to us after being caught and released by a local authority — we’re not sure which one, and it’s unclear whether she was released where she was found or moved elsewhere. What we do know is that she is an incredibly sweet, gentle girl who has taken everything in her stride. Since arriving, Ash has slotted straight into our small adolescent group with zero issues. She adores children and is friendly with people of all ages. She’s also fabulous with cats, happily ignoring them and getting on with her day. Ash is expected to stay around 15kg once fully grown — a lovely, manageable medium size. 🩺 Health & Travel Neutered Approx. 8 months old Great with dogs Great with children Cat‑friendly Passport ready Can travel on the next transport Ash is a gentle, loving young girl who deserves a safe, stable home after such an uncertain start. If you’re interested in offering Ash a loving home, please send us a message. PLEASE SHARE — Home check and adoption fee apply.

About Ash

What life with Ash looks like

Ash is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue in Bulgaria.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇧🇬Adopting from Bulgaria

Bulgarian shelters typically include full vet workup, sterilization, and passport. Many coordinate with EU rescue partners for direct transport to adopter cities in Germany, Netherlands, and Austria.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ash, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ash?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ash on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ash if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ash already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ash isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ash and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
