Adopt Aster

European Shorthair · Male · Adult · 7 years

ASTER and HAIZEA were surrendered by their family to the dog pound. They are sisters, and their first hurdle was the separation from their mother, who was given to a lady. But for them, their fate would be even harder, as the dog pound (it makes no difference whether it's a dog pound or an animal shelter) does a lot of harm to cats.... We are very concerned about the lives of these two sisters as of now (March 2022). We have not found foster care for them, and they are in an emergency situation that cannot offer them the time they need, and time is working against us. They are very sad and very withdrawn, and the photos do not lie....??? We truly need them to know love in a home: ????? foster care: Palencia, Valladolid or surroundings, we cover the costs. ????? adoption: anywhere in Spain or even abroad, the family must come to pick them up. They are two incredible beauties who deserve to be happy, truly happy. Be their family, be their chance ???????? Contact: 667849696 – 657961568 www.protectoradepalencia.org ????? You never know which "share" will lead them to their home.

About Aster

What life with Aster looks like

Aster is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aster, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aster?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aster on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aster if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aster already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aster isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Protectora Defensa Animal Palentina early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aster and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
