Aston

Male · Adult · 4 years

Aston is adopted And here I am, lost or found, who cares, I ended up at the shelter after 11 days in the pound, no one came to get me. At just under a year old, I hope to find a family that will take care of me. I am a gentle griffon with big ears like many hunting dogs. So yes, I love adventure, but if you accompany me and educate me, I will make an effort to stay with my owners. I get along well with all the dogs at the shelter, or at least those who aren't in the "don't approach or I'll bite" mode. If they want to play, great, if they don't, it's fine, we can just cross the other side of the road. You get the idea, I don't seek fights. Cats, I've never seen them... My instinct tells me I can chase them... So let's seriously test them... And to get to know them, I'm young and have a lot to learn, but do it quickly because time is passing. Humans, I adore them. I am a great young dog with a lot to learn, some might say youth should pass, yes but well and in a family that shows me how everything can work to the best. For me, I need a responsible family that educates and respects me. And if my previous owners didn't try to find me, it's probably because I'm not as good at hunting as some might think. If you love griffons and know this breed, you know they are very gentle dogs but who do as they please if not educated. In summary: okay with other animals of the same species, okay with humans, young and old, within the limits of the possible and the tolerable, always be careful. Cats to test, education mandatory (think of the 3 free classes at the Aspres sur Buech canine club, and 2 of my caretakers work there). If you love my little Calimero face and have time to spend with me to make me a perfect or almost perfect dog, come and get me because the shelter can be a bit sad at night. Love and patience, that's what we could share together! I can't wait! I'll give you my agent's 06 and my secretary's fixed line. Call them quickly! contact: and (call in the afternoon because in the morning it's for us, no one answers).

About Aston

What life with Aston looks like

Aston is a small adult dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aston, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aston?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aston on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aston if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aston already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aston isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aston and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
