adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Aston has found his luck! His story: A gentle puppy with a touch of " floppy ear charm", that's our little treasure Aston. A sweet little fellow with shining black fur with russet accents and of course the irresistibly cutest floppy ears. Aston and his siblings were found together with their mom in the middle of the forest. After all the fear and loneliness they probably experienced there, they are currently still a bit cautious. But whoever opens their heart will soon be rewarded with a lot of love. Cuddles the little Aston already starts to enjoy them cautiously – and every day he becomes a little braver and more self-assured. His first experiences with harness and leash, despite the excitement, he managed really well. With patience, love, and a little extra praise, Aston will surely develop into a wonderful family dog. He gets along well with other dogs, he knows cats yet, he finds people interesting but needs a lot of peace, patience, and trust. With gentle guidance and perhaps a little help from a positively working dog training class, he will learn to fully trust his people. Like every puppy, Aston still has to learn the rules of everyday life – and puberty is also still on the horizon. With love, understanding, and a little humor, he will master this phase without problems. Currently, Aston is about 3 months old, weighs around 5 kg, and will probably grow to be medium-sized. Starting in December, he can – after a positive Then he will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and have an EU pet passport. Are you ready for a little Aston who gives you – without a Martin – a little heart palpitation every day? Many thanks Silke P.! You named Aston! As of: 23.11.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Silke P.! Du hast Aston seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 23.11.2025

About Aston

What life with Aston looks like

Aston is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aston, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aston?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aston on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aston if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aston already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aston isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aston and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
