Atmos

European Shorthair · Male · Adult · 7 years

The record for wall-sitting is held by Atmos. Since he moved from the Hokazo foundation to the Animal's Faith foundation at the end of February via the Hokazo foundation, he’s been happiest perched in this high spot. He hardly moves at all—just his eyes. Although, for about the past week, we’ve occasionally caught Atmos climbing onto a scratching post or another hiding spot. And now, regularly, another kitten from the group joins Atmos on the wall. And that’s perfectly fine with him. Atmos is a sturdy tomcat with a beautiful coat. He seems picky when it comes to wet food, but he never goes hungry; in the evening, he’ll certainly enjoy a nice snack from the various types of dry kibble available. Atmos is looking for a place where he can take all the time he needs to observe and get comfortable—where he can gradually reduce the distance at his own pace, whenever he feels ready. Breed: European Shorthair Gender: male—neutered Date of birth: June 2019 Health check: Vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed Can live with children: quiet children aged 14 and older Can live with dogs: unknown Can live with cats: yes If you can’t adopt Atmos but would still like to support him, click here and become a sponsor today!

About Atmos

What life with Atmos looks like

Atmos is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Stichting Animals Faith in Netherlands.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Atmos, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Atmos?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Animals Faith handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Atmos on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Atmos if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Animals Faith will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Atmos already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Atmos isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Animals Faith early rather than rehoming privately; they know Atmos and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
