Aurora

Female · Puppy · 6 months

Aurora is an adorable little female dog, 5 months old, whose life unfortunately got off to a rough start. When she was still a tiny puppy, she was the victim of abuse. A shopkeeper violently kicked her because he did not want to see her in front of his store. When we took her in, Aurora was very small and especially vulnerable. Since then, she has grown up with us and has become a young dog full of life, joy, and personality. Aurora is an endearing, funny, and affectionate dog. She loves to play, explore her surroundings, and share moments with the humans she loves. Although she enjoys the company of other dogs, she also copes very well with moments of solitude and knows how to be independent. Smart and attentive, she responds well to recall and already shows good foundations of training for her young age. Curious about everything, she likes to follow her human in their activities and take part in family life. Aurora is ok with dogs, ok with cats, and ok with farm animals. She is a well-balanced young dog who will bring happiness to a family ready to give her the love and stability she deserves. Aurora is now waiting for her forever family.

About Aurora

What life with Aurora looks like

Aurora is a medium-sized puppy dog waiting at Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe in France.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aurora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aurora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aurora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aurora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Aurora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aurora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aurora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
