Ausztrál Vesta

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Recovered to Szergény: 2026.03.01 We rescued them from a horror camp in Csongrád, there were three of them in a kennel. Even capturing them was not easy, Vesta is very clever. She takes the treat from the hand, but she still does not allow herself to be petted. Curious, but the psychological rehabilitation will be long and difficult. We are looking for a family that can help her learn that the human hand is not only able to cause pain! Vaccinated, chipped, neutered is adoptable! If you feel you are ready for the task, we await your detailed introduction email at this email address! You can meet them in person on Sundays between 9-13 o'clock at NOÉ Animal Shelter Szergényi Shelter! More pictures HERE!

A Tetszik gomb eléréséhez sütik engedélyezése szükséges. apiKey: 'f94a516b15dff4516ffa78eb8ba036f3076dfc68',

About Ausztrál Vesta

What life with Ausztrál Vesta looks like

Ausztrál Vesta is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Requires extensive rehabilitation and patience due to trauma from rescue conditions

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ausztrál Vesta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ausztrál Vesta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ausztrál Vesta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ausztrál Vesta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ausztrál Vesta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ausztrál Vesta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ausztrál Vesta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
