Aylin

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 9 years

ProfileAge: Born around April 2025. Gender: Female. Spayed: YesCharacter: Friendly, calmSize: Approximately 45 cmIn Shelter since: September 2025Hello… my name is Aylin. I am still very young and have experienced things that have made me very afraid. Strangers caught me on the street – I didn’t know why, and suddenly everything was different. Then came the cage in the shelter. So cramped, so loud, and I didn’t understand what was happening to me at all. When I finally got out of that cage, I was relieved… but the uncertainty remained. Being in a yard with many other dogs is not easy. Everywhere they bark, everywhere you can feel the tension – and me? I often retreat because I don’t know what’s going to happen next.Through all the fear, I love people very much. I am happy about food, about small gestures, about a little closeness. And if someone is calm and patient with me, then I cautiously emerge from my hiding place and look with my big eyes: “Do you really mean me?” I so desperately want a family that will give me time. People who will accompany me with patience and love and show me that I am safe. I need someone who will take me out of here – so I can learn that life can be beautiful. Please don’t keep me in the shelter for too long. I have so much love inside me – I just need someone who sees it and gives me the chance to show it.Aylin interested? If you are interested in Aylin, please fill out our Prospective Owner Form () or write us an email or a message on Facebook. Aylin is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU.

SteckbriefAlter: ca. April 2025 geboren. Geschlecht: weiblich.

About Aylin

What life with Aylin looks like

Aylin is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aylin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aylin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aylin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aylin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aylin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aylin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aylin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
