Adopt AYRA

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 7 months

AYRA – light as a breath and full of grace❣️ I am AYRA – a name that means “the Noble One.” Perhaps it carries something within it that describes me even before you truly get to know me. I have a slender, graceful body, move light-footed, almost floating, and carry a quiet elegance within me. Along with my brother, I was found in the neighborhood of an animal rescuer. Two young dogs, curious, playful, friendly – and with a keen sense of the world around us. We met other dogs openly and peacefully, played together, and moved with that carefree lightness that only young dogs possess. Before we came to the animal shelter, I had the chance to live for a while in the home of the animal rescuer. There, I learned that cats can be wonderful companions and that harmony sometimes begins quietly – with a cautious step, a gentle look, a silent trust. I adapted without being pushy. Perhaps because it aligns with my nature: I am lively, yes, but with a subtle, elegant way that makes me special. I am young enough to see the world with big eyes, and old enough to know that closeness is precious. My zest for life is friendly and surprisingly sensitive for my age. I play, I learn, I seek connection – not wildly, but with an openness that comes from the heart. I wish for people who see me – not just as a young dog, but as a small, growing heart. People who enjoy accompanying me as I grow up and appreciate my mix of liveliness and gentleness. I am AYRA – the Noble One, who brings peace with her nature without being still. The one who, with lightness, hopefully touches your heart.

About AYRA

What life with AYRA looks like

AYRA is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Fellnasen e.V. in Waakirchen.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting AYRA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about AYRA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Fellnasen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw AYRA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt AYRA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Fellnasen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is AYRA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if AYRA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Fellnasen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know AYRA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
