Azha — an old schnauzer from Oryhova, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. She is 10 years old. Perhaps this is one of the stories that harshly turned me into reality and showed how people can be. During a forced evacuation due to active combat operations, the family left, leaving the dog locked inside the house. Without food, without water, without heating. This story was discovered by volunteers by chance. Together with people from Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Kyiv, an evacuation of the dogs was organized. Sadly, one of the dogs, a volunteer found, was already dead. She simply did not wait for help. Our animal shelter took in the dogs after the evacuation. Eventually, some went further to Kyiv, but Azha we kept because she needed treatment. Azha is a very charismatic old schnauzer. She had a severe chronic otitis, with pus literally oozing from her ears. Due to chronic inflammation, her eardrum was damaged, so she hears worse in her left ear. The treatment was very difficult. There was resistance to antibiotics, and even the cytological drugs did not work. Now Azha feels much better. She is active, very lively for her age, adventurous, funny, and always wants to be at the center of attention. She is one of those dogs who is always jumping at any movement. Despite her age, Azha can become a great family member. She is very lively in character and very much wants human attention. Because of her age, we did not spay her. But Azha is fully vaccinated and treated. We do not want Azha to spend the rest of her life in an animal shelter after everything she has gone through. We really want to find people for whom her life will truly be important.

Аза — стара таксочка з Оріхова, Запорізька область. Їй 10 років. Мабуть, це одна з історій, яка дуже жорстко повернула мене в реальність і вкотре показала, якими можуть бути люди. Під час примусової евакуації через активні бойові дії сім’я виїхала, залишивши собак закритими в будинку. Без їжі, без води, без опалення. Про цю історію випадково дізналися волонтери. Разом із людьми із Запоріжжя, Дніпра та Києва була організована евакуація собак. На жаль, одну собачку волонтери знайшли вже мертвою. Вона просто не дочекалася допомоги. Наш притулок прийняв собак після евакуації. Згодом частина поїхала далі до Києва, але Азу ми залишили у себе, бо їй було необхідне лікування. Аза — дуже харизматична стара таксочка. У неї був сильний гнійний отит, із вушка буквально витікав гній. Через хронічне запалення була пошкоджена барабанна перетинка, тому на ліве вушко вона чує гірше. Лікування було дуже складним. Була резистентність до антибіотиків, і навіть препарати, які мали працювати по цитології, не давали результату. Зараз Аза значно краще себе почуває. Вона активна, дуже жвава для свого віку, азартна, смішна і всюди хоче бути в центрі уваги. Вона з тих собак, які завжди за будь-який двіж і кипіш. Попри свій вік, Аза чудово може стати членом родини. Вона дуже жива по характеру й дуже хоче уваги людини. Через вік ми не стерилізували її. Але Аза комплексно вакцинована та оброблена. Ми дуже не хочемо, щоб після всього пережитого вона так і залишилася доживати життя у притулку. Дуже хочеться знайти для неї людей, для яких її життя буде справді важливим.
