Babcia Ela

Mixed Breed · Male

From the dog that we took Ela from, it was her 5 home, 5 chances, 5 families, and she was still neglected and sick... No one gave her the minimum that she needed. When we took Ela, she had a whole skin on fire - almost a bloody red color, a lot of bald spots, especially on her legs, beard and neck, which was one big wound, and her legs, Ela walks very badly... very badly. In her past, she already had pyoderma and a life-saving procedure. Right now, funds are needed for further skin diagnostics, good food for allergies. The second issue is painful paws. A CT scan will be necessary to accurately determine the cause of the pain. Medications and supplements, which will allow Ela to lead a comfortable life. The costs are growing, but we really want Ela to live the rest of her time she has left in health and happiness, surrounded by love. So that finally she can experience true family closeness, which she never had. We ask for help, because every dog of any age deserves everything that is best. Thank you for your heart <3 An adoption questionnaire applies:

Druga sprawa to bolące łapki.

About Babcia Ela

What life with Babcia Ela looks like

Babcia Ela is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Babcia Ela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Babcia Ela?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Babcia Ela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Babcia Ela if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Babcia Ela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Babcia Ela isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią early rather than rehoming privately; they know Babcia Ela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
