Frequently asked

Adopting Babsy and Ziggy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Babsy and Ziggy?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Cheltenham Animal Shelter (GAWA) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Babsy and Ziggy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Babsy and Ziggy if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Cheltenham Animal Shelter (GAWA) what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Babsy and Ziggy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Cheltenham Animal Shelter (GAWA) directly what is included and what Babsy and Ziggy still needs.
What happens if Babsy and Ziggy isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Cheltenham Animal Shelter (GAWA) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Babsy and Ziggy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
