Baco

English Bulldog · Male · Senior · 10 years

Baco is an Old English Bulldog who loves being outdoors and is crazy about water. He came to our shelter because his previous owner was getting older and moving to a smaller place. This meant Baco had little space to play outside and missed some routine in his daily life. Baco can get along well with people and other dogs. However, he sometimes finds it difficult to share his food and toys. He may want to keep them for himself. Therefore, he needs a owner who can guide him calmly and clearly and help him to deal with this in a good way. We are looking for a nice home for Baco where he can go outside and enjoy his love for water. A fixed rhythm and clear agreements will help him to feel comfortable. His new owner must also be able to guide him in a calm way in daily things, such as grooming and vet visits. With the right guidance, Baco can develop further and enjoy a nice life with his new family. About Baco

What life with Baco looks like

Baco is a senior english bulldog dog waiting at Stichting Animals Faith in Netherlands.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baco?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Animals Faith handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baco if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Animals Faith will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Baco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baco isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Animals Faith early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
