Adopt BACO

Mixed Breed · Male

Baco — Caucasian Shepherd Dog, born on December 20, 2022. Baco is a stately and intelligent male, a true representative of his breed. As befits a Caucasian, he does not immediately make contact and chooses who to trust. He needs a person with experience and understanding, who can build an honest and respectful relationship with him. But once Baco opens up, you will see a completely different dog: devoted, attentive, waiting for your every word. He is very people-oriented, enjoys learning and is drawn to interaction. A strong union with Baco will be formed - for those who are ready to invest and appreciate true dog loyalty. Baco loves all dogs, small, medium and large and wants to play with them all! We are seeking someone with breed experience/training experience/ and/or rescue experience to continue working on a ONE TO ONE basis with Baco to help him progress even further outside of the shelter. If you think this is you please get in touch! Approx weight 14/01/26: 47kgs Approx weight 25/02/26: 50kg Approx weight 29/04/26: 50.5kg

About BACO

What life with BACO looks like

BACO is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Murcia) in Lips Rescue.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting BACO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BACO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Murcia) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BACO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BACO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Murcia) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BACO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BACO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Murcia) early rather than rehoming privately; they know BACO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
