Adopt Badi

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 15 years

BADI is a small (weighs about 10-11 kg) dog aged about 15 years (born around 2010) - although I think he's even older. Active, cheerful, very attached to people. Neutered, vaccinated, and vaccinated. Health: takes thyroid hormones permanently and medications to support heart function. He has a torn ear and the other one is deformed - effects of his previous life. He is also almost toothless and sometimes his paw hurts, another effect of his previous life - an untreated, improperly healed fracture. Badi loves people very much - needs contact, gives kisses. We are looking for a house with a garden (the dog should live in a house) because Badi does not tolerate being confined, may vocalize. It would be difficult for him in an apartment block. If he tolerates other dogs... the word "tolerate" is the maximum of his sympathy towards other dogs. Cats also tolerate, but when someone comes too close, he will chase them away. He will defend his food, toys, and people from other dogs. ADOPTION PROCEDURE 1. Fill out the Adoption Questionnaire from the link: 2. Meet the dog and a pre-adoption visit. 3. Jest też prawie bezzębny i czasem pobolewa go łapka, kolejne efekty poprzedniego życia – nieleczone, źle zrośnięte złamanie. PROCEDURA ADOPCYJNA 1. Wypełnienie Ankiety Adopcyjnej z linku: 2. Zapoznanie z psem i wizyta przedadopcyjna. 3. About Badi

What life with Badi looks like

Badi is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Badi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Badi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Badi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Badi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Badi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Badi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią early rather than rehoming privately; they know Badi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
