Bailey

Male Β· Young Β· 2 years

Bouncing Bailey is looking for his loving home! Bailey is a wonderful Labrador who will be perfect for those who love the breed. He is a social butterfly who enjoys human interaction and will benefit from a multi carer home. Bailey is a very clever boy who has shown a great response to basic training including some Scent Searching to help get his nose down to explore and do something fun! He will require some ongoing training to ensure he can mature into a well rounded gentleman! Bailey is a little sensitive with playful dogs and will therefore benefit from some calm dogs to interact with where he can build up his confidence at his own pace. He is looking for a home in a quiet location with a garden where can have exercise in natural environments. He can be strong on lead when he is excited but has shown to walk really well with a harness. His new family will need to be willing and committed into teaching him these life skills which will super fun and rewarding to be involved with. He is an active boy who is enthusiastic about life, and is looking for an active family to go on adventures with! Bailey favourite thing is to splash! He loves paddling pools which help him have an outlet where he doesn't always tip over his water bowls! About Bailey

What life with Bailey looks like

Bailey is a large young adult dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible β€” a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bailey, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bailey?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bailey on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bailey if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bailey already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bailey isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bailey and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
