adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this dog! Baily has found a new home! His story: Our young dog Baily arrived at his family in Gründau in late January and now has to make a difficult search for a new home too soon. Upon arrival, he doesn't have the time a young dog so desperately needs for a calm and patient adjustment to a new life with new people. At about seven months old, he stands out with his beautiful appearance and slender build: his blonde fur, distinctive black mask, and alert, curious gaze give him a special presence. In his Romanian foster home, Baily was already able to live in the house for the last few months. A rare and very valuable experience for Baily. There, he shared his daily life with eight other dogs and always showed himself to be social, friendly, and composed. Chaos is part of his daily life, as are various environmental stimuli. He meets cars, people, and everyday noises with surprising calmness. On the leash, Baily also already runs very well—attentive, relaxed, and usually without pulling. Through the upheaval, Baily is currently understandably unsettled. With time, calmness, and a loving adjustment, he will however show all that makes him special: his openness, his social skills, and his balanced character. Baily is a clever, cheerful, and very pleasant young dog. He is no overexcited whirlwind, but goes through life with relaxed curiosity. Currently, he is about 48 cm shoulder height and is expected to grow to a larger medium size with a sporty, slender build. Like every young dog, Baily will also go through puberty. A phase where boundaries are explored and learned things sometimes seem to be lost. This is completely normal. The more important thing is patience, loving consequences, and positive reinforcement. Baily learns quickly and willingly when he is fairly led and praised for desired behavior. With clear structures and a friendly approach, he has the best prerequisites to develop into a reliable and self-assured companion. For his future home, Baily wishes active, sporty people who will give him time to settle in, build routines together, and share many adventures together. Being a young dog means training, patience, and effort, but also closeness, trust, and shared growth. Whoever takes on this journey will win with Baily a loyal friend for life. And a particularly charming one at that! Baily is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. Of course, he also has his EU passport and is ready to go. Are you enthusiastic about Baily? Then contact us quickly and get to know him personally. Many thanks Alexandra R.! You named Baily! Date: 03.02.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Alexandra R.! Du hast Baily seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 03.02.2026

About Baily

What life with Baily looks like

Baily is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baily, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baily?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baily on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baily if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baily already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baily isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baily and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
