adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Bali has found a home! Her story: Bali and Boli, two small, sweet puppies, are the only two puppies from a 6-puppy litter from Mama Bili. Fortunately, the two were already in our care when they were born, or they might not have survived. Bali lives currently in a Romanian foster home. There, she has already wrapped her little paws around the people around her. Bali is a very sweet, friendly, and affectionate puppy who is very interested in people and interacts with them. When Bali looks at you with her big eyes and her most adorable sugary snout, you can't help but melt. Bali currently weighs 3 kg and is expected to grow to a medium size when fully grown. Bali gets along well with other dogs, and cats are also not strangers to her. For Bali, we are looking for people who don't expect much from her at first. Even though she already knows life in the house, you should forgive her the occasional mishap. Because she is still a baby and has a lot to learn. Even though the little one is so sweet and cuddly, you should start puppy training as soon as possible. Bali is also looking forward to a visit to a puppy school. And Bali will also eventually enter puberty. The time when sweet little babies become little rebels who question everything and also "unlearn" everything. Here, patience, love, consistent training, but also a dash of humor are needed. Then you will overcome the time together, and Bali will definitely develop into a loyal companion. Bali embarks on her great journey to happiness microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She also has her EU pet passport in her luggage. Bali can be adopted after a positive match, but she would also be happy in a foster home. Do you want to show Bali the big wide world and have a cozy dog bed free? Thank you, Ker W.! You have given Bali a name and thus an identity. Status: 28.04.

Stand: 28.04.2025

About Bali

What life with Bali looks like

Bali is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bali, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bali?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bali on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bali if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bali already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bali isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bali and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
