Bam-Bam

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! With sad eyes, Bam-Bam looks around shyly and isn't quite sure what to expect from the shelter. It's clear from the male dog's approximate 8-year-old appearance that he hasn't experienced much goodness in his previous life. The burn scar on his nose is a sad testament to that. Bam-Bam is 55 cm tall and weighs around 20 kg. Currently, he waits in the shelter in Fantanele for his people—people who look beyond his facade and recognize the soft heart within him that hasn't entirely given up hope for a life of safety. With his black-and-white fur and those sweet little black spots, Bam-Bam is a stunning dog. But more special than his looks is his nature, for despite everything he's endured, he remains an incredibly gentle dog. He is humble, loves every touch, and becomes very devoted when given attention. Bam-Bam is not an active dog but a calm, balanced companion. He has surprisingly quickly adapted to harness and leash and shows that he is ready to take new paths. We believe he will settle into a new home quickly if given some time, patience, and understanding. In the shelter, however, he appears very resigned, often just sitting in his pen and waiting. Bam-Bam gets along well with other dogs. Whether he knows cats has not yet been tested. We wish for him people who enjoy growing together with him and showing him the world. Walks, shared discoveries, and above all, much peace and love. Maybe you are exactly the person who finally shows him what security feels like? Bam-Bam travels neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He will be sent after a positive our area! Thank you, Claudia E.! You gave Bam-Bam his name! Here is a donation drive for Bam-Bam's surgery costs: As of 09.02.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Claudia E.! Du hast Bam-Bam seinen Namen geschenkt! Hier eine Spendenaktion für Bam-Bams OP-Kosten: Stand: 09.02.2026 Weitere Informationen zum Thema Vorkontrolle und Schutzgebühr

About Bam-Bam

What life with Bam-Bam looks like

Bam-Bam is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bam-Bam, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bam-Bam?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bam-Bam on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bam-Bam if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bam-Bam already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bam-Bam isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bam-Bam and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
