BAMBA

Border Collie · Female · Adult · 5 years

Bamba is a special little female dog who needs a family experienced in caring for and handling dogs. We are looking for committed adopters, preferably a couple or a single person without children at home, of young or middle age, with an active lifestyle. Ideally, we want a family that has not only owned dogs before but is also willing to work on her socialization and provide her with an appropriate structure. She has her little quirks, and this requires, first and foremost, that the family come to pick her up in person at our centre, so that introductions can be made properly and they can be given the guidelines and advice needed so that her daily life together presents no behavioural problems. For this reason, and understandably, we do not consider it viable for young children to be part of her future family. It is essential that prospective adopters can offer a firm yet respectful hand, based on bonding and trust, so that she can adapt and feel secure in her new surroundings. Bamba needs someone willing to work with her and not give up at the first difficulty. If you believe you meet this profile and are ready to give Bamba the love and stability she deserves, we invite you to meet her and give her the chance to be happy in a home where she can flourish! About BAMBA

What life with BAMBA looks like

BAMBA is a medium-sized adult border collie dog waiting at Catydog Asociación in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting BAMBA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BAMBA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Catydog Asociación handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BAMBA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BAMBA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Catydog Asociación will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is BAMBA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BAMBA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Catydog Asociación early rather than rehoming privately; they know BAMBA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
