Bambi

Male · Young · 3 years

Welcome beautiful Bambi to our adoption list… Bambi is a male cat who was rescued in 2024. He is around 3 years old. Neuter status: He was neutered in 2024 Weight: 5-6 kg Rescue Story in brief as told by his rescuer: “Bambi found his way into our lives when he took shelter in the yard next to our rescue catio. We safely trapped him and brought him to the vet to be neutered. The original plan was to return him to his territory, but there was something special about him that tugged at my heart, and I couldn't bring myself to let him go. At first, Bambi was shy and cautious, unsure whether he could trust people. But with patience, gentle affection, and time to realize he was safe, he slowly began to open up. Once he learned that pets and kindness came with no strings attached, his affectionate and loving personality started to shine through. Temperament details: Bambi is a sweet and gentle soul. He’s loving and moderately playful. He is used to living with other cats and gets along well with all of them. At some point he shared the house with two dogs and proved to be kind and curious (as long as the dog isn’t aggressive). He’s not necessarily used to being picked up, but he loves curling up in your lap and asking for affection. He may be sceptical at first around new people or in a new environment, but once he trusts you, he transforms into a gentle, chubby love bug who enjoys companionship and attention. He’s used to living with other cats; he’s not aggressive and gets on well with all of them. Regarding dogs: for a few months we also had two different dogs in the house and Bambi proved to be accepting and curious. In an unfamiliar environment, he may be more scared, and it can take more time to get him to feel safe, but he’s proven to be adaptable. Reasons for rehoming? – He needs a forever home. “ Travel funding? His adopter must pay the expenses of £300 plus gift aid.

About Bambi

What life with Bambi looks like

Bambi is a small young adult cat waiting at Miracle in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bambi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bambi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Miracle handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bambi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bambi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Miracle will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bambi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bambi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Miracle early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bambi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
