Banjo (m)

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

On foster home in 92348 Berg Süß… sweet… Banjo. Who has a desire for a little adventure and wants to give their heart and a home to this cuddly fellow? Banjo was born on 01.02.2026, approximately 25 cm tall and 8.5 kg in weight. (Can be a bit smaller) Banjo came to us yesterday from transport out of Romania and has already wrapped us all around his paw. Whether small or large humans, he finds them all wonderful and has collected cuddles everywhere. Currently, he lives on a foster home in the rural area with 2 large female dogs, a youngster, and 3 cats. Here, he has immediately fit into the pack. It's hard to believe that he was just in the shelter's yard a few days ago. As soon as he was out of the bathtub, he landed on the sofa and snuggled into the care dad. So far, he has shown no fears. He finds the garden wonderful. He is incredibly curious… everything must be looked at, and in between, cuddles are dusted off. Now, we are looking for people who are aware that puppies are not house-trained, have sharp teeth, and can sometimes break one or another object. Additionally, puppies of this age cannot be left alone and require a lot of attention. Children are also welcome in the new home, provided they know how to handle dogs and understand that he also needs to be left alone sometimes. Who wants to visit the cute little guy at his foster home in 92348 Berg and fall in love? Banjo will be microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed multiple times after a vet check in Germany before moving into his new home. The negative Snap 4D test also applies to him. Banjo will be available for contact: or on FB. All our dogs travel with official trace papers, and of course, we also have Paragraph 11.

About Banjo (m)

What life with Banjo (m) looks like

Banjo (m) is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Banjo (m), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Banjo (m)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Banjo (m) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Banjo (m) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Banjo (m) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Banjo (m) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Banjo (m) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
