Banjo og Nøtteliten

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Hann Kaniner | Estimated birthdate: 30.03.2025 Banjo og Nøtteliten are two charming female hedgehogs who wish for a safe and loving home together. Banjo is the boldest of the two and a very social boy. He eagerly springs towards the foster home whenever it approaches, whether for attention, a cuddle, or a good bite. He enjoys being where the action is and places great value on contact with his human companions. Nøtteliten is a bit more cautious at first meetings and needs some time to feel secure with new people and surroundings. When he finally lowers his shoulders, he shows himself to be a cuddly and friendly boy who also values closeness and attention. Both can be handled. The two are closely bonded and must be adopted together. They thrive in each other's company and find much comfort in each other. Like most hedgehogs, they can have small meaning exchanges now and then, but it passes quickly, and they work very well as a pair. They have received a health check, are neutered, have an ID chip in their neck, ear tattooing in the left ear, and have been vaccinated. Save name, email, and website in your browser for next time.

About Banjo og Nøtteliten

What life with Banjo og Nøtteliten looks like

Banjo og Nøtteliten is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Dyrebeskyttelsen Norge Nord-Trondelag in Steinkjer.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Banjo og Nøtteliten, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Banjo og Nøtteliten?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dyrebeskyttelsen Norge Nord-Trondelag handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Banjo og Nøtteliten on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Banjo og Nøtteliten if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dyrebeskyttelsen Norge Nord-Trondelag will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Banjo og Nøtteliten already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Banjo og Nøtteliten isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dyrebeskyttelsen Norge Nord-Trondelag early rather than rehoming privately; they know Banjo og Nøtteliten and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
