Baraka

Female · Puppy · 3 months

Baraka is a 3-month-old adorable female dog, a cross between an English Springer Spaniel (mother LOF) and a Beauceron. She is expected to grow into a medium to large-sized dog. Joyful, balanced, calm, and curious, Baraka is a little dog who is already discovering many things. She is familiar with the city, countryside, and sea and is comfortable in different environments. She loves children, cuddles, and, like any puppy, loves to play! She also eagerly seeks to play with cats, although the cats may not always agree. 😅 Baraka is currently learning to be clean and has already started basic training with some key words. She is also learning good daily habits, such as not begging at the table. The natural follow-up is working very well with her. Like any young dog, and given her future size, Baraka will need a consistent framework, patience, and genuine support, especially during her first year. She will need to be allowed to expend her energy, discover the world, and learn calmly so that she can become a balanced dog. Curious, adaptable, and close to humans, Baraka can be a true life companion and accompany you on many adventures. With time, patience, and appropriate training, she has everything to become a wonderful partner in everyday life. ❤️ ✔️ 3 months 🐶 Crossbred English Springer Spaniel LOF × Beauceron 📏 Future medium/large size ✔️ Joyful and balanced ✔️ Calm and curious ✔️ Loves children 🐱 Wants to play with cats 🏡 Familiar with city, countryside, and sea 🎓 Basic training in progress 🚽 Cleanliness training in progress ✂️ Spaying/neutering to be done between 8 and 12 months 📍 Visible in foster care in Brest

About Baraka

What life with Baraka looks like

Baraka is a puppy/kitten dog waiting at La Patte sur le Cœur BZH in France.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baraka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baraka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. La Patte sur le Cœur BZH handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baraka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baraka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — La Patte sur le Cœur BZH will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baraka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baraka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with La Patte sur le Cœur BZH early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baraka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
