And yet, they chose to live. We saved them. We gave them safety, food, care. We gave them a second chance at life. But of the seven, none were chosen, even though two years have passed. Two years in which they watched every person who entered the gate... hoping. Maybe because they don't have a "breed". Maybe because their record has only one label: survivor. Bashful and Grumpy are amazing dogs. Soft, balanced, affectionate. They don't want to be dogs in a kennel, in a yard. They want a family. A place where they can be part of someone's life. To sleep at your feet. To wait for you at the door. To love you unconditionally. They don't ask much. Just a home. A gentle hand. A person who looks at them and says: "Stay.
