Mixed Breed Β· Male Β· Puppy Β· 8 months

Baster is looking for a home! 🐾❀️ Baster is an older dogβ€”extremely gentle and shyβ€”who dreams of a peaceful, warm home filled with love. He’ll need some time to trust humans, but once he feels safe, he’ll slowly open his heart and reveal his gentle nature. This dog would thrive best in a calm environment, with patient caregivers who are willing to give him all the time he needs. In return, Baster will reward you with his trust and a quiet, loyal presence. If you’d like to offer Baster a safe home and the chance to spend his golden years in peace and happiness, please get in touch with us. He might just find his forever home right here with you. ❀️

About Baster

What life with Baster looks like

Baster is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window β€” house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡±Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baster, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baster?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baster on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baster if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baster already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baster isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baster and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
