Adopt Bati

Border Collie · Female · Young · 1 year

Bati – actually Butterfly – carries her name not without reason: Her sweet, slightly erect ears resemble small butterfly wings and make her a real eye-catcher. The young female dog is a typical puppy: playful, curious, friendly, and with a huge cuddling heart. She loves being around people, enjoys cuddles, and happily explores her little world. As a young dog, Bati brings both delicacy and intelligence. She will probably be medium to large and is looking for a home that offers her space, security, and loving training. She currently lives in our branch of the animal shelter Beclean, Romania. She does not yet know life in a house, so she still has to learn everything - from going for walks to being alone. But with patience and loving guidance, she will quickly understand what matters in family life. For Bati we are looking for people with heart who are ready to teach a little butterfly to fly - and finally show her how beautiful life can be. If you would like to offer Bati a home, a foster home or a foster home with a neuter option, please contact us. She is watching with alert eyes and open paws for her new beginning. Bat is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, has an EU passport and can travel to her new home immediately. This dog is rehomed together with the association Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. The double listing on both association websites and possibly advertising portals serves to increase his visibility and thus find the right home for him faster. An active exchange takes place with the association. Each inquiry about the dog is discussed directly and passed on. We will take care of the processing as soon as possible!

About Bati

What life with Bati looks like

Bati is a young adult border collie dog waiting at Arme Hundeseelen in Năsăud.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bati, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bati?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arme Hundeseelen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bati on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bati if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arme Hundeseelen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bati already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bati isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arme Hundeseelen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bati and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
