How do I contact the shelter about Batu?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Simba Animal Aid Cyprus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Batu on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Batu if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Simba Animal Aid Cyprus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Batu already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Batu isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Simba Animal Aid Cyprus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Batu and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

15/9/2026 🇬🇧 872 DAYS AND COUNTING… 💔 Batu has been waiting for far too long. Please share his story and help us find the perfect home for him! 🙏🐾 Once upon a time, Batu was a little, cute puppy who had someone to care for him. Today, he is a big dog who seems to be overlooked simply because of his size and needs. But Batu deserves a chance too. ❤️ We are looking for a very special person with experience with large dogs, who can give Batu the time, patience and understanding he needs. He must be the only dog in the home. We are looking for a miracle for Batu. ✨ Could you be his person? 🐾 Breed: Cross 🎂 Estimated birth date: 20/10/2022 🏠 Entry date: 26/04/2024 ❤️ Temperament: Good with people, not good with other dogs 🌳 Perfect home: Secured garden with a high fence 🇨🇾🇬🇧 Available for adoption in Cyprus and the UK 👉 Please share Batu. His special person may be out there. About Batu

What life with Batu looks like

Batu is a medium-sized puppy/kitten dog waiting at Simba Animal Aid Cyprus.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇾Adopting from Cyprus

Cypriot rescues focus heavily on cross-border placements (the island has more strays than local adopters). Animals are fully vetted before flying. The adopter pays the transport, while the shelter coordinates vaccinations, chipping, and the passport.
