adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Peace and quiet, wonderful Bea! Her story: Before we start talking about Bea, she can start talking for herself! "Hello friends of animal welfare, as I see you have actually clicked on my profile! I am of course over the moon about that, because at my age, that doesn't happen so often anymore. So it's all the more wonderful that there are still people out there who are interested in me! I have been in the care of Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. for about a year, but no one has ever made an inquiry about me. But where are my manners? I haven't even introduced myself yet. My name is Bea, I am around 13 years old, and I currently live on a large premises with about 70 other four-legged friends in Busag. Miss Medan and Dorel take care of us every day and help us get through this dreary time. I am of medium size with a shoulder height of about 55-60 cm. Now, on the topic: Dorel is my absolute favorite person! When he comes, the sun comes up for me. With other people, I need some time to get used to them, but that should generally not be a problem as long as they are nice to me and don't irritate me. Other dogs? Please, I live here in the pack! No problem at all. Cats? Mh… I have seen them before, but they don't live directly with me here, so I can't say much about them. Children? Oh dear – as long as they are quiet and leave me alone, I would say that's also okay. But I have been here for a very, very long time and don't know how easy it will be to change or adapt my lifestyle. Much of it I still don't know, and honestly, I have lived my entire life in my own way, so I don't know how much new I can learn or like. But I am sure we will find a way to agree, or? So, that's it – I have nothing more to say. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Ruhe in Frieden, tolle Bea! Andere Hunde? Also bitte, ich lebe hier im Rudel! Alles kein Problem. Katzen? Stand: 14.08.2022

About Bea

What life with Bea looks like

Bea is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
