Beja (w)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 5 years

BEJÁ – 5 years (2020) BEJA was discovered by our German animal protection colleague on site in Romania in May 2025. She roamed back and forth, just like her brother Bodo, who lives in the yard with her. So let's find a home for BEJA! She belongs to the dogs that were found as puppies but were never seen. She, her brother, and her sisters have already lived in the animal shelter for 5 years (!) and know practically nothing except themselves and the yard. In everyday life, it's not easy there, alternately letting the dogs out of the yard. And it could be dangerous, because the dogs have to get to know each other. BEJA is an extremely friendly and cheerful dog lady. Her joy in life is contagious and hard to believe. She is friendly with both people and her siblings, sometimes stormy and then very gentle. She can also push her siblings aside when it comes to being stroked. But she is always very charming. She would rather not miss out on a stroking moment. Magic mouse, friendly, sociable, playful Can be tested with cats Our colleague is enchanted by her and went to her yard repeatedly during her visit. She would have liked to give her no promise, but she would have liked to. Does she have a chance after 5 years to leave this yard? We hope so very much. BEJA – we can do it!!!! BEJA will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and travel with a Snap test and EU-Pass. She will be rehomed with V. All our dogs come to 91278 Pottenstein and would also like to be picked up here. Contact: or on fb. All our dogs travel with official Trace papers and of course we also have the Paragraph 11. i. e. a chance after 5 years to leave this yard? We hope so very much. BEJA – we can do it!!!!

Also los!

About Beja (w)

What life with Beja (w) looks like

Beja (w) is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Beja (w), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Beja (w)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Beja (w) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Beja (w) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Beja (w) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Beja (w) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Beja (w) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
