adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Bela has found a home! His story: Zalau, Romania. A four-leaf clover with 4 kittens instead of leaves! Here come the 4 survivors Nena, Bela, Farin, and Rodrigo. Bela was found as a small kitten and very sick, alone and abandoned without a mother. All 4 had a strong cold, inflamed eyes, and were full of parasites. The rescue came just in time, so we are happy that the 4 are still with us. And now we wish them their next piece of luck – the journey to a family of their own. The handsome Bela is the clown among the siblings. He always has a good mood and involves everyone. Especially in climbing, Bela is a real artist. He finds the most fascinating spots in the height and has to inspect everything. The adorable little guy is active for his age and of course likes to play. But cuddle time with his foster moms is also on his daily to-do list. He approaches people openly and shows no fear. Bela enjoys and looks forward to the time with the other cats in his foster home. He is very considerate, social, and friendly and gets along with everyone. We wish Bela a home where he can spend the rest of his life with a like-minded feline friend. He will gladly take a girlfriend or a boyfriend with you if you don't have a kitten waiting for him. Of course, Bela will be microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, and treated for fleas during his travel arrangements, like all our cats and tomcats. He of course also has an EU pet passport and is looking forward to it. In love with Bela? Then write to us! Many thanks Silvie S.! You gave the rattle band their names!

Verliebt in Bela? Dann schreib uns! Vielen Dank Silvie S.! Du hast der Rasselbande ihre Namen geschenkt!

About Bela

What life with Bela looks like

Bela is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bela?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bela if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bela isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
