BELENOS

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 10 months

Hello, my name is BELENOS, and I was born on 16/05/2026. I was rescued along with BASTET and BOWIE from a garden. Like the Gallic god of the Sun and light who inspired my name, I have his golden colors, alternating with a dazzling, immaculate white, like the sun at its zenith... A little bundle of love with beautiful, expressive eyes. But I am still a baby, and Mom still misses me sometimes, so I'll be cuddled by ARABICA, who is always ready to welcome me close to him, like a big protective brother. I am no less a playful and active kitten when playtime comes. If you've fallen for my portrait (how could it be otherwise?), we'll see each other soon! BELENOS is currently visible at OZOIR-le-FERRIERE. To meet him, contact 06 89 37 54 33.

FR·Show original

About BELENOS

What life with BELENOS looks like

BELENOS is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at L in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BELENOS, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BELENOS?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. L handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BELENOS on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BELENOS if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — L will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is BELENOS already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BELENOS isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with L early rather than rehoming privately; they know BELENOS and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
