Belka wurde in Russland gefunden – in einer gefährlichen Region, wo kaum jemand Tieren helfen kann. Durch ein Wunder wurde sie schwer verletzt am Hinterbein (unter anderem) von Tierschützern gerettet und ins Tierheim gebracht. Dort kämpfte sie ums Überleben. Bei einer Operation wurde unter anderem ein Kompressionsbruch versorgt, der das Rückenmark teilweise komprimiert. Ihre rechte Hinterpfote ist nicht intakt und wird mit einem Pfotenschutz/Pfotenschuh geschützt. Nach ihrer Operation hat sie sich gut erholt, doch leichte Einschränkungen in der Stabilität der Hinterbeine sowie eine teilweise Harn- und Kotinkontinenz sind geblieben. Sie kommt jedoch wunderbar damit zurecht, hat gelernt selbstständig und sicher zu laufen und lässt sich durch nichts aus der Ruhe bringen. Für das linke Hinterbein ist noch eine OP geplant. Wir warten auf Informationen und Befunde. Belka ist eine unglaublich aktive, verspielte und neugierige Hündin. Sie vertraut den Menschen tief und kommuniziert auf eine wundervolle, klare Weise mit allen um sie herum. Mit ihrer Geduld und Gelassenheit erlaubt sie jede medizinische Behandlung ohne Angst oder Widerstand. Auch im Auto fährt sie ruhig und entspannt mit. Belka hat einen außergewöhnlichen Charakter – die Prüfungen, die sie im Leben bestehen musste, haben sie nicht gebrochen, sondern noch vertrauensvoller und stärker gemacht. Sie liebt es, ihre Nase an einen Menschen zu schmiegen, als wollte sie sagen: „Ich bin hier, alles ist gut. “ Belka genießt das Leben in vollen Zügen und ist voller Lebensfreude und Energie. Sie bringt Licht und Wärme in jede Umgebung – wie ein kleiner Sonnenstrahl, der alles um sich herum erhellt.
