Adopt Bell

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 10 years

He has a wonderfully balanced personality: affectionate and loving without being demanding. While he loves company and will often greet you at the door when you come home, he’s also perfectly content spending the day snoozing in one of his favourite cosy hiding spots while you’re out. Bell still has a playful streak and enjoys his toys, especially laser pointers, wand toys with feathers, and his little toy mice – which he often “delivers” overnight, leaving them neatly at the foot of the bed. He’s also a big fan of “cat TV” and loves having a comfy window spot where he can watch the world go by. He is an indoor-only cat and would thrive in a calm home where he can safely enjoy all his favourite comforts. He does have a heart condition, so he will need an owner who understands the implications and is committed to supporting him all the way through. It is currently well-managed with daily medication that he takes easily. Aside from this, he’s very low-maintenance and simply asks for a loving home, some tasty treats, and plenty of cosy places to nap. Bell is a truly special companion – sweet, fluffy, funny, and endlessly lovable. He has so much affection to give and would make the perfect best friend for someone looking for a gentle, loyal, and wonderfully cuddly cat to share their home with. About Bell

What life with Bell looks like

Bell is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at Feline Friends London in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bell, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bell?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Feline Friends London handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bell on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bell if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Feline Friends London will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bell already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bell isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Feline Friends London early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bell and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
