Bellis

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now meet Bellis! Her story: Eisbärchen Bellis is already waiting in her foster home in our area. She is very friendly, trusting, and affectionate towards people. She gets along well with other dogs, and has so far ignored cats. It is estimated that Bellis will grow to a weight of 20 – 25 kg, meaning she will likely be of medium size. She is still a puppy and has a lot to learn. A little mishap shouldn't be held against her, and she should always be guided with a positive reinforcement training style. She is looking forward to her new life with beautiful nature walks, many cuddle sessions, and also attending puppy school. In the first year of life, puppies should be left alone as little as possible. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos will turn the little racker's world upside down. She "forgets" often what she has learned so far, and her ears are on full blast. Therefore, it is especially important during this phase to be consistent – but loving – in her upbringing. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Bellis is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and has an EU pet passport. Thank you, Nicole S.! Not only did you give the little Bellis a name and thus an identity, but you also took on a monthly sponsorship for the sweet mouse. As of 23.11.

Stand: 23.11.2024

About Bellis

What life with Bellis looks like

Bellis is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bellis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bellis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bellis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bellis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bellis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bellis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bellis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
