Bendetta

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! Happy End for Bendetta! Her story: Bendetta has a touching story. For weeks, she was fed in the forest by our animal rescuer Raluca until she was finally secured. At that time, she already had puppies, which unfortunately all died from Parvo. Despite this sad past, Bendetta has survived and carries her friendly and calm nature in her heart. The pretty mouse with the long, gray fur had luck and was finally able to travel to her foster home in Germany. There, she developed into a lively and open female dog who quickly adapts to everything and is very happy with her new life. She is house-trained and even got a chic new haircut at the dog groomer 😀 Bendetta is a real looker! At 6 years old, Bendetta is in a wonderful age: the exhausting puppy and young dog phase is long behind her, and puberty is far in the past. She is an adult, well-adjusted female dog who goes through life with composure and no longer questions everything. For people looking for a loyal, calm, and balanced companion, Bendetta is exactly the right choice. She is still very active and enjoys long walks or also head and nose work. But long cuddle hours on the couch are also very important to her. She gets along well with her fellow animals. From her nature, she shows herself to be friendly, people-oriented, and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. For Bendetta, we wish people who will show her with love and patience how a real home works step by step. She should be part of the daily routine, enjoy walks and cuddle times, and learn with positive reinforcement what she has missed so far. Bendetta is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can travel to the EU after a positive health check. Who will give this gentle female dog the home she deserves? Many thanks to Ker W.! You named Bendetta. Date: 17.11.

Vielen Dank an Ker W.! Du hast Bendetta ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 17.11.2025

About Bendetta

What life with Bendetta looks like

Bendetta is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bendetta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bendetta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bendetta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bendetta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bendetta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bendetta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bendetta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
