Bengal Bob

Male Β· Young Β· 2 years

Meet Bob, the Bengal cross! This handsome chap arrived at Battersea as a stray but he has been enjoying all of the creature comforts, especially his fluffy bed where the sun shines through the window. He is looking for a calm, predictable home to call his own in a rural area with a low cat population as he is a typical Bengal that likes his own space. Bob loves to tell us all about his day or when he feels he is due more play time. He will come trotting over and rub around our legs until we sit down, where he will lay on our laps purring away making his biscuits. He enjoys gentle cheek rubs on his terms and will remain comfy on your lap. Bob will need direct access via a catflap to a private garden of his own and have 24/7 access to go outside as he pleases. He could live with older school age children that will respect his space and let him go to them to interact. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Bengal Bob, you can e-mail our rehoming team on on to register your interest. e cat you have contacted us about.

About Bengal Bob

What life with Bengal Bob looks like

Bengal Bob is a large young adult cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bengal Bob, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bengal Bob?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bengal Bob on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bengal Bob if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bengal Bob already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bengal Bob isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bengal Bob and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
