Benji

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 4 months

With his straight-A-student face, Benji hides a cheerful little clown, champion of play and somersaults! This kitten wishes to be adopted together with one of his brothers so they can share their mischief and grow up side by side in a loving family. ❤️ Born on 04/07/2026 250 26 96 11 88 85 48 In foster care with Berthe in Quincy Voisins (77) Hello, friends! My name is Benji and I'm part of the Club of 5! Our mom is named AZKA, and I can tell you she's super. She had dug a hole to give birth in a safe spot, sheltered from danger, and in a hospital enclosure. Some people fed her and called on Orfélins, who were able to take us in, first with Armelle and then with Berthe. Mom is still very wary, but what must she have lived through outside in her life before? It will take time for her to trust humans again. As for us, life is good, and Mom keeps teaching us to be well-adjusted kittens with our little paws firmly on the ground. Qu

Qu

About Benji

What life with Benji looks like

Benji is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Orfélins in orfelins.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Benji, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Benji?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Orfélins handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Benji on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Benji if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Orfélins will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Benji already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Benji isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Orfélins early rather than rehoming privately; they know Benji and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
