Benson is a neutered mixed-breed rough collie born in March 2025, who arrived at the shelter in Svilos as a puppy with his five siblings, Bessy, Betsy, Birdie, Blossom, and Britta, who were left on the grounds of a nearby factory. He is now ready for adoption and eagerly awaits a loving family where he can stay forever. The lovable Benson is a friendly collie who is still a bit cautious and unsure around people. It's clear, however, that he longs for closeness, affection, and petting. Often, he would like to approach people, but he's not quite ready yet. With familiar people, he builds trust much faster and enjoys their company very much. He gets along excellently with other dogs. Especially with his pen mate, he plays joyfully and spends the whole day by her side. In the company of his own kind, he shows himself to be social, friendly, and uncomplicated. His behavior towards cats and other animals is unknown to us. On the leash area, Benson explores his surroundings curiously. He likes to wander around, sniffing and discovering the world at his own pace. He has a special passion for water – splashing and playing in it bring him great joy. For Benson, we wish to find a sensitive family that will give him the time and patience he needs to settle in and build trust. With the right support, Benson can learn to enjoy life to the fullest and share many beautiful activities and a fulfilling dog life with his family.

Benson ist ein im März 2025 geborener, kastrierter Mischlingsrüde, der als Welpe gemeinsam mit seinen fünf Geschwistern Bessy, Betsy, Birdie, Blossom und Britta auf dem Gelände einer Fabrik in der Nähe des Tierheims in Svilos ausgesetzt wurde. Er ist nun ausreisebereit und wartet sehnsüchtig auf eine liebevolle Familie, bei der er für immer bleiben darf. Der liebe Benson ist ein freundlicher Rüde, der Menschen gegenüber noch etwas vorsichtig und unsicher ist. Man merkt ihm jedoch deutlich an, wie sehr er sich Nähe, Zuwendung und Streicheleinheiten wünscht. Oft möchte er gerne auf Menschen zugehen, traut sich aber noch nicht ganz. Bei vertrauten Personen fasst er deutlich schneller Vertrauen und genießt ihre Nähe sehr. Mit anderen Hunden versteht sich Benson hervorragend. Besonders mit seiner Zwingerkameradin spielt er ausgelassen und verbringt gerne den ganzen Tag an ihrer Seite. Im Umgang mit Artgenossen zeigt er sich sozial, freundlich und unkompliziert. Sein Verhalten gegenüber Katzen und anderen Tieren ist uns nicht bekannt. Auf dem Auslaufplatz erkundet Benson neugierig seine Umgebung. Er läuft gerne umher, schnüffelt interessiert und entdeckt die Welt in seinem eigenen Tempo. Eine ganz besondere Leidenschaft hat er für Wasser – Planschen und Spielen im Wasser bereiten ihm große Freude. Für Benson wünschen wir uns eine einfühlsame Familie, die ihm die Zeit und Geduld schenkt, die er benötigt, um anzukommen und Vertrauen aufzubauen.
