Bernhard and Bianca have been with us at the animal shelter since February 2025. Unfortunately, they could no longer return to their home after their owners had to move into a retirement home due to health reasons - the two were never picked up again. Now, the two are hoping for a loving new start in their old age. Bernhard and Bianca are siblings and have lived together their entire lives. Therefore, they will only be rehomed together! They provide each other with support and orientation. Especially Bernhard bitterly complains when he is left behind in the yard without Bianca, for example when Bianca goes for a walk alone or goes to the vet without him. Both have heart murmurs and receive corresponding heart medication, which makes them feel much better. Since the treatment, they are more lively, curious, and even play occasionally. Due to their age, they are becoming slowly blind and deaf, but cope with it easily. Despite their age, the two still enjoy being outside and appreciate quiet, peaceful walks together in the greenery. Overall, they are rather cozy, friendly seniors who simply appreciate the presence of people and a calm environment. We wish a quiet home with love for Bernhard and Bianca, where they can spend their golden years together. Ideally without big expectations, but with lots of love, patience, and understanding for two older dogs. Anyone who would like to give the senior couple a warm dog bed again is welcome to contact us. Bernhard and Bianca are waiting together for their second chance. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Bernhard und Bianca leben seit Februar 2025 bei uns im Tierheim. Leider konnten sie nicht mehr in ihr Zuhause zurückkehren, nachdem die beiden aus gesundheitlichen Gründen ihrer Halter zu uns in Pension ziehen mussten – abgeholt wurden die beiden danach nicht mehr. Nun hoffen die zwei im hohen Alter noch einmal auf einen liebevollen Neustart. Bernhard und Bianca sollen Geschwister sein und leben schon ihr ganzes Leben zusammen. Sie geben sich gegenseitig Halt und Orientierung. Besonders Bernhard jammert immer ganz bitterlich, wenn er ohne Bianca im Auslauf zurückbleibt, beispielsweise wenn Bianca alleine Gassi geht oder ohne ihn zum Tierarzt fährt. Beide haben Herzgeräusche und bekommen entsprechende Herzmedikamente, mit denen es ihnen deutlich besser geht. Seit der Behandlung sind sie wieder viel lebendiger, neugieriger und spielen sogar ab und zu. Altersbedingt werden sie langsam blind und taub, kommen damit aber problemlos zurecht. Trotz ihres Alters sind die beiden noch gern draußen unterwegs und genießen ruhige, gemeinsame Spaziergänge im Grünen. Insgesamt sind sie eher gemütliche, freundliche Senioren, die einfach die Nähe ihrer Menschen und ein ruhiges Umfeld schätzen. Für Bernhard und Bianca wünschen wir uns ein ruhiges Zuhause mit Herz, in dem sie ihren Lebensabend gemeinsam verbringen dürfen. Am besten ohne große Erwartungen, aber mit viel Liebe, Geduld und Verständnis für zwei ältere Hunde. Wer dem Senioren-Duo noch einmal ein warmes Körbchen schenken möchte, darf sich gerne bei uns melden. Bernhard und Bianca warten gemeinsam auf ihre zweite Chance.
