Berry is a hound mix with a lot of character and a very own story. Over time, a lot has been interpreted into him, but he has also earned some of it through his behavior. One thing is certain: Berry is not a dog who simply accepts everything without objection. He is attentive, independent and has learned that he can be quite successful with his strategies. Berry gets along well with other dogs - here at the shelter he lives 24/7 in a mixed-sex dog group. Sometimes he shows himself to be a bit too enthusiastic and has quick hearts in his eyes, but he can very well accept a sovereign response from his counterpart. Berry is also generally friendly towards people, but he would like to do a lot of things according to his own ideas. He has learned that his 42 arguments help him with that; he does not mean this personally, but rather functionally - boundaries and clarity were not always reliable in his previous life. Berry also brings a hunting motivation and is not equally strongly oriented towards humans in every situation. However, if he gets to know someone who understands his body language and communicates with him calmly and clearly, he can become very soft and approachable. He is a dog who responds to relationships if you offer him this in a reliable way. We are looking for a quiet home with a fenced garden for Berry. A suitable companion may also live there, but cats and children should not be present. Anyone who is interested in relationships, education and a bit of dog training will find many learning gifts and a good buddy in Berry!

Berry ist ein Bracken-Mix mit viel Charakter und einer ganz eigenen Geschichte. In ihn wurde im Laufe der Zeit so einiges hineininterpretiert, anderes hat er sich aber auch durch sein Verhalten selbst erarbeitet. Fest steht: Berry ist kein Hund, der einfach alles widerspruchslos hinnimmt. Er ist aufmerksam, eigenständig und hat gelernt, dass er mit seinen Strategien durchaus erfolgreich sein kann. Mit Artgenossen ist Berry gut verträglich – hier im Tierheim lebt er 24/7 in einer gemischt-geschlechtlichen Hundegruppe. Manchmal zeigt er sich etwas zu überschwänglich und hat schnell Herzen in den Augen, kann eine souveräne Antwort seines Gegenübers aber sehr gut annehmen. Menschen gegenüber ist Berry ebenfalls grundsätzlich freundlich, möchte so einiges jedoch gerne nach seinen eigenen Vorstellungen regeln. Dabei hat er gelernt, dass seine 42 Argumente ihm dabei gut weiterhelfen; das meint er nicht persönlich, sondern eher funktional – Grenzen und Klarheit waren in seinem bisherigen Leben nicht immer verlässlich vorhanden. Berry bringt zudem eine jagdliche Motivation mit und ist nicht in jeder Situation gleich stark am Menschen orientiert. Lernt er jedoch jemanden kennen, der seine Körpersprache versteht und ruhig sowie klar mit ihm kommuniziert, kann er sehr weich und zugewandt werden. Er ist ein Hund, der auf Beziehung anspricht, wenn man ihm diese auf verlässliche Weise anbietet. Für Berry suchen wir ein möglichst ruhiges Zuhause mit eingezäuntem Garten. Gerne darf dort auch ein passender Artgenosse leben, Katzen und Kinder sollten jedoch nicht vorhanden sein. Wer Lust auf Beziehung, Erziehung und ein bisschen Hundetraining mitbringt, wird bei Berry viele Lerngeschenke und einen guten Kumpel gewinnen!
