Berta is part of one of the toughest cases we've faced: a home where over 40 dogs survived in very precarious conditions, without veterinary care, without sterilization, and without the minimum conditions for well-being. From that place, we rescued several litters of puppies along with their mothers—among them Xispa, Trella, and Carry—all marked by a life of abandonment and constant reproduction. However, Berta had something very valuable: we arrived in time. She was rescued before she became pregnant, avoiding that her story would repeat itself in a new litter. Thanks to this, today she has the opportunity to live a different life, centered on her, her well-being, and her future. Despite everything she's lived through, Berta is slowly discovering what it means to feel safe. Like many dogs that come from such environments, she needs time to adapt, but she also has the opportunity to learn that there is a peaceful life, with care and affection. Her story is an example of how important it is for sterilization and timely intervention, because every rescue doesn't just save one life, but many more that could have come after. Berta is looking for a family that offers her the life she has never had: calm, respect, and love. A chance to finally be just a happy dog. Berta, sin embargo, tuvo algo muy valioso: llegamos a tiempo. Fue rescatada antes de que quedara embarazada, evitando que su historia se repitiera en una nueva camada.
