Her story: "The dog is part of our life – for our dog, we are his whole life." Berti is showing us just how much that means right now. She needs a lot of closeness from her people – this is typical for many dogs from the international animal shelter and usually settles down after the first settling-in period. During this sensitive initial phase, it is important to give Berti security, safety, and stability. The more security she feels, the faster she will build trust, let go, and settle down. The beautiful Berti probably already had a home in Romania. In her current foster home, she behaves like a total pro at home. On the first day, she marched through the door like it was second nature – as if she had never known anything else – and felt right at home. What happened to her in the past, we can only guess. Given her initial clinginess and fear of loss, we assume she was abandoned by her previous people and had to survive alone on the streets for a while. No wonder she now enjoys every bit of closeness with people. She was found all alone on a field near a parking lot. But instead of reacting fearfully or suspiciously, she met us openly, friendly, and with a great need for closeness. Berti is a female dog who immediately draws attention: extremely people-oriented, cuddly, and trusting. While other dogs are excited about treats, Berti is primarily interested in one thing – cuddles. Closeness means everything to her. She snuggles up, constantly seeks eye contact, and enjoys every loving gesture. Anyone who meets her quickly realizes: Berti simply loves being there. She is about five years old, approximately 52 cm tall, and waits in her foster home for her heart family. Berti is in the best sense of the word an uncomplicated dog: friendly to other animals, smart, adaptable, and easy to handle. She already runs well on a leash, orienting herself to the person and showing a lot of willingness to cooperate. Of course, it's important not to forget that she is still a dog with a history. During the initial phase, be prepared for one or two challenges – especially the separation must be practiced with a lot of empathy and in small steps. She should also be gradually and gently accustomed to environmental stimuli. We recommend attending a positively working dog training class – not only to further develop Berti, but also to strengthen the bond between human and dog from the start. Berti brings everything with her to become a wonderful companion – she just needs the chance. She also looks special: her fluffy white fur with dark speckles and the fine black marking on her head make her a real unique. But what really stays in the heart is her affectionate nature and her quiet, touching way of building connections with people. Berti is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She travels with an EU pet passport. For someone looking for a faithful companion who values closeness, goes through life quietly and lovingly, and is open to shared learning, Berti will find a very special female dog. Ihre Geschichte: „Der Hund ist Teil unseres Lebens – für unseren Hund sind wir sein ganzes Leben.“ Berti zeigt uns gerade zu 100 Prozent, was das bedeutet. Sie braucht momentan sehr die Nähe ihrer Menschen – das ist typisch für viele Hunde aus dem Auslandstierschutz und legt sich meist nach der ersten Ankommenszeit wieder. Gerade in dieser sensiblen Anfangsphase ist es wichtig, Berti Nähe, Sicherheit und Halt zu geben. Je mehr Geborgenheit sie spürt, desto schneller wird sie Vertrauen aufbauen, loslassen und zur Ruhe kommen. Die wunderschöne Berti hatte vermutlich schon in Rumänien ein Zuhause. In ihrer jetzigen Pflegestelle verhält sie sich jedenfalls wie ein absoluter Profi im Haushalt. Schon am ersten Tag marschierte sie wie selbstverständlich durch die Tür – als hätte sie nie etwas anderes gekannt – und fühlte sich sofort wohl. Was ihr in der Vergangenheit widerfahren ist, können wir nur vermuten. Aufgrund ihrer anfänglichen Anhänglichkeit und Verlustangst gehen wir davon aus, dass sie von ihren früheren Menschen ausgesetzt wurde und eine Zeit lang allein auf der Straße überleben musste. Kein Wunder, dass sie nun jede Nähe zu Menschen in vollen Zügen genießt. Gefunden wurde sie ganz allein auf einem Feld in der Nähe eines Parkplatzes. Doch anstatt ängstlich oder misstrauisch zu reagieren, begegnete sie uns offen, freundlich und mit einem großen Bedürfnis nach Nähe. Berti ist eine Hündin, die sofort berührt: extrem menschenbezogen, verschmust und zutraulich. Während andere Hunde sich über Leckerlis freuen, interessiert sich Berti vor allem für eines – Streicheleinheiten. Nähe bedeutet ihr alles. Sie schmiegt sich eng an, sucht immer wieder den Blickkontakt und genießt jede liebevolle Geste. Wer sie kennenlernt, merkt schnell: Berti ist einfach gerne dabei. Sie ist etwa fünf Jahre alt, ca. 52 cm groß und wartet in ihrer Pflegestelle auf ihre Herzensfamilie. Berti ist im besten Sinne ein unkomplizierter Hund: freundlich zu Artgenossen, klug, anpassungsfähig und leicht im Umgang. An der Leine läuft sie bereits gut mit, orientiert sich am Menschen und zeigt dabei viel Kooperationsbereitschaft. Natürlich darf man nicht vergessen, dass sie trotzdem ein Hund mit Geschichte ist. In der Anfangszeit sollte man sich auf die eine oder andere Herausforderung einstellen – vor allem das Alleinbleiben muss mit viel Einfühlungsvermögen und in kleinen Schritten geübt werden. Auch an Umweltreize sollte man sie langsam und behutsam gewöhnen. Wir empfehlen den Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule – nicht nur, um Berti weiter zu fördern, sondern auch, um die Bindung zwischen Mensch und Hund von Anfang an zu stärken. Berti bringt alles mit, um sich zu einer wundervollen Begleiterin zu entwickeln – sie braucht nur die Chance dazu. Auch optisch ist sie etwas ganz Besonderes: Ihr kuscheliges weißes Fell mit dunklen Sprenkeln und die feine schwarze Zeichnung auf dem Kopf machen sie zu einem echten Unikat. Doch was wirklich im Herzen bleibt, ist ihr liebevolles Wesen und ihre stille, berührende Art, Verbindung zu Menschen aufzubauen. Berti ist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Sie reist mit EU-Heimtierausweis, nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro in ihr neues Zuhause – gerne auch vorerst auf eine Pflegestelle.
